# Automating inventory

What the system says and what's on the warehouse shelves aren't the same
number, and nobody knows when they drifted apart.

## What the problem looks like

Someone sells over WhatsApp and writes it down later. Someone else receives
goods and records them at the end of the day, if they remember. The point of
sale deducts what goes through the register, but not what left through the
back door for a delivery. At month's end the physical count contradicts the
system, and a whole day goes into hunting for the difference.

It isn't a discipline problem. The inventory lives in three places and none
of them tells the others.

## What we build

A system that connects to what you already use — the point of sale, the
invoicing, the business WhatsApp — and does what a person does by hand today:

- **Deducts what sells**, whether it goes out through the register or through
  a message.
- **Records what comes in** when the supplier's invoice arrives.
- **Alerts you when something runs low**, below the minimum you set, before it
  runs out.
- **Asks your suppliers for prices** and puts the comparison in your hand.
- **Logs every movement**, so the monthly count matches and, if it doesn't,
  you know where the gap opened.

We don't ask you to switch software. Your systems stay; ours works around
them.

## A typical case

Picture a hardware store in Cartago that sells at the counter and over
WhatsApp. The system reads the orders from the chat, deducts them from
inventory and, when stainless steel screws drop below a hundred units, asks
three suppliers for prices and sends the owner the comparison. The month-end
count stopped being a day's work.
